Cognitive Analytic Therapy with people with Eating Disorders

This one day workshop is for clinicians who know Cognitive Analytic Therapy and can apply the theory into their practice. It will suit clinicians who work in public mental heath and private practice or those who are supervising clinicians in these sectors.

This one day workshop aims to introduce the CAT conceptualisation of eating disorders as described by Tanner and Connan. It will consider the challenges of managing medical risk and case management alongside a therapy relationship using CAT principles and elaborating on CAT techniques.

Other issues considered in the workshop (time permitting) will be endings, working with families/support systems and other services.
