Cognitive Analytic Therapy and older adults – rescheduled due to illness
09/06/2022 @ 9:23 AM
$50.00The psychotherapy needs of older adults are similar to younger adults in that they require a reflective space to consider their relationships with others and self. The circumstances, roles and societal context for older adults are different and can affect how they are related to and thus how they relate to others. CAT being a collaborative and transdiagnostic approach is well suited to working with older adults by helping them reflect on their relational history and how it affects them now.
Ally Waite, a clinical psychologist and ACAT accredited CAT practitioner/supervisor, has worked in public and private mental health with older adults with enduring mental health problems and emerging for almost twenty years.
In this 2 hour webinar Ally will provide an overview of CAT with older adults, the challenges and joys of working with this age group and how CAT can be applied in practice with older adults.
This webinar is for therapist/health professionals/counsellors who have participated in a CAT year 1 training.
See below for try booking link. Once registered you will receive a zoom link to the webinar.
